Our patented Flex-Hone for adjust-on-the-fly honing of disks, pads, and drums. It fits into any 7/8 minute hole for simple mounting. The Flex-Hone uses the friction between the wheel and surface to hone material off of the brake disk or pad. Both ends have 5Mm (.197") cutters that allow you to get the flex out of any size disk or drum. We recommend changing these cutters every 75 disks or pads to insure a perfect finish on your wheel.

This 5/8 inch 180 grit Flex-Hone is designed to be used with a flex hones holder and flex-hone speeds from 800 to 3500 RPM. The Flex-Hone Cylinder Hones are precision engineered to sharpen and hone 6-groove brake cylinders, drums, disc pads and shoes.

This Flex-Hone is a push pull type flex hone. It is 5/8in (16mm) wide with two opposed cylindrical diamond honing surfaces. Each honing surface has 5 degrees of flex when pressure is applied to the handle. The double diameter of 180 grit diamonds allow for each surface to be used as a fully functional heavy cut surface and a fine cut finishing surface.

The Flex-Hone cylindrical hone was designed to be able to provide a clean, smooth surface on all brake cylinders not matter what the condition they are in. It has a flex shaft 60-3000 rpm coupling and 3/8" arbor shaft that fits many electric drills or stands. The Flex-Hone cylindrical hone is used externally by submerging it in oil and acting as a lathe to rotate the cylinder. It works exceptionally well with pump jack drill presses as the rods have eared edges to prevent it from falling out while spinning. This whole purpose of this tool is to polish the cylinder

A unique design allows the user to polish both adjustable and fixed calipers, as well as disc-brake rotors on motorcycles and other vehicles with a 5/8in. neck, without disassembly. The Flex-Hone can be used as a conventional hone or as a flex-hone which conforms to the shape of the workpiece. The principle is similar to that of a flexible shaft used in an electric drill.
