The Brush Research BRMGBD312-120C Heavy Duty Flex Hones for Block Cylinders or Liners, 3.5" (BRM-) are included in the design and testing of a typical modern automobile engine. The Flex Hones are made for block cylinders and liners with 3.5" cylinder bore. They are also compatible with 4.125" and 3.5625" or larger boring heads and cutters which will produce a 4.625" bore in a straight twist drill bit. They come in 10 different sizes which range from 1/2".125" to 2".400".

Made from high-grade flexible steel bristles, the BRMGBD312-120C Heavy Duty Flex Hones gently sweep away residue inside block cylinders and liners to improve engine performance. They open gaps between piston rings, wear indicators and valve guides to allow better oil flow for longer engine life. Use them with all grades of motor oil.

These extra long, flexible abrasive hones are used for using on larger block cylinders and liners, up to 3.75" diameter for fine surface finish of large cylinder bores. The rods are color coded to identifiy grit size, the rods are flexible and are 120" long with a hook end. These flex hones can be used in a drill or mounted in a lathe. These flex hones come in quantities of 6 each color coded grits: coarse green rod #280-36F, medium red rod #320-36F, fine blue rod #360-36F, extra fine

The BRMGBD312-120C Flex Hone is a compact device ideal for use with block cylinders. The device has 3.5 inch flexible shank diameter and adjusts from 1/8 to 2 inches stroke length. Manufactured of a high quality chrome vanadium steel material, the flex hone delivers excellent wear and corrosion resistance for every application. 50 RPM speed is enough to clean any cylinder without causing any wear on the internal surface by using a large amount of water at a time.

These Hone Kits with 2 inter-changeable Speed Inserts give maximum versatility to meet all the honing requirements of today's engines. Each kit contains a multi-speed drive tool and 120 grit replaceable rubber insert. Several sizes available to fit all popular block cylinders or liners.
