Relay Buddy, adapter, shielded adapter.

The Relay Buddy, in conjunction with the shielded adapter (#ESI190-4), is used to probe, diagnose, trouble shoot, and modify electronic circuits. The Relay Buddy cable allows connection of an oscilloscope or other digital instruments to a circuit under test. The shielded adapter provides a 50 ohm resistance to ground.

Relay Buddy is used to drive a solenoid or other DC device from a computer parallel port TTL output.

The 190-4 is a shielded adapter to give the end user a level of protection from noise emitted by the second relay (normally used to control fans and lights). Placed between the battery voltage and ground, it will filter out noise coming into the 190- signal ground wire. This unit also has a dual color LED that tells you if you are getting full voltage to the second relay.
