M4x0.7 Metric Kit
The Helicoil® 5546-4 is a 4-0.7mm Metric Heli Coil designed for use on 4mm drill bits to thread into tapped holes in bolts or studs. This kit contains 4 Heli Coils plus a #2 1/4"I.D. blank tube, and instructions. Recommended for pre-tapped holes in 3/8" diameter and larger O.D. bolt or studs, where additional thread engagement is required. All Kits are provided with four (4) 0.7mm threads, one each: M4 x 0.7 - M5
This Helicoil 4-0.7 Metric Coarse Kit provides four 4.0mm x 0.7mm threaded inserts for various applications in one kit. The inserts are made from full hard wire to support the toughest installation demands, and measure 7.6 millimeters in length with a 6.6mm diameter shank to fit tapped holes in material with an M4 thread size.
The Helicoil 4-0.7 metric coarse thread repair kit is designed for use on thread sizes from M3.5 to M8. More than just a screw, the Helicoil system is an advanced fastening method that gives superior performance and an unmatched life cycle. The secret lies in the Interlocked Screw Technology, or I-Screw technology, which allows the helicoil to grip the damaged threads in place of traditional methods such as lock threads or re-punching.
The OE Helicoil 4-0.7 metric coarse thread insert kit is designed to rethread oil field tubing made to ISO 4752 and DIN 6910 Tubing Thread. Kit contains uncut helicoil inserts, application grease, and tool.
These inserts are designed to fit into the Heli-Coil of choice, in order to lock and hold the threaded rod. The 3 helical grooves cut into the insert act to decrease stress concentration over the expanses of Metal that are buried below under the head of the bolt.
Helicoil thread inserts can be used to repair damaged threads which will otherwise compromise the integrity of the entire assembly. Ideal for internal threaded holes in hardened materials, Helicoils are recommended for extremely close tolerances and materials with lower hardness in which soft breakage is common.
HeliCoil screw inserts are used to repair stripped or broken threads in machine parts, typically those with external damage from welding, overheating and other heat-related failures. They are ideal when replacing damaged mounting bolts and elsewhere where a new hole needs to be tapped into place. HeliCoil inserts often outlast the repaired part.
