Perfect for the technician that does onsite brake work or mobile repair shops that require a quality ball joint press for installing/removing c-frame ball joints.
The C-Frame Press is an indispensable tool designed for installation or removal of all c-frame press style U-joints and ball joints. It can also remove pressed on brake anchor pins and rear axle pivot bolts that have been pressed in to remove the pin.
OTC's C-Frame Press is the preferred tool for installing and removing ball joints on GM and Ford front wheel drive vehicles. The C-frame design allows you to apply a vertical load increasing the force applied to the C-Clip so it can be removed more easily.
OTC introduces the new U.S.A. Made OTC7248 C-Frame Press to reach into tight spots and remove or install press fit ball joints on automobiles, trucks, passenger vehicles and heavy duty equipment, including vans, pickups, SUVs and heavy equipment.
OTC's 7248 C-Frame Press is designed to quickly and safely remove or install press-fit ball joints and U-joints in the steering knuckle of vehicles with a C-frame front suspension design. The 7248 is ideal for shop & field use, as well as brake anchor pin and brake hardware removal.
The C-Frame Press is used to remove and install press fit shafts, guide bushings, yokes and U-joints. The replaceable thimble features a swivel feature that prevents the thimble from binding when removing press fits.
When installing a C-frame press, always apply the same amount of force to both end plates. This equalized pressure will provide safer and more reliable results.
